images are from a book of 19th century japanese designs and translations. book was intended as a reference for designers, creators, and manufactures of crests, fabrics, tapestries, wood carvings, furniture, wallpaper, embroidery, playing cards, and ceramics. I recreated a few illustrations on my mac, printed and folded them over solid black paper, then laminated them.  The translations are on the back, bookmarks are 8.5" x 2" each.
